Project Scope:

The Jabal Ali Sewage Treatment Plant Phase 2 provides an average treatment capacity of 375,000 cubic meters/day (equivalent to the wastewater generated by 1.35 million persons) and forms part of an ambitious vision of Dubai Municipality to build an ultimate treatment facility of 1,050,000 cubic meters per day at the Jabel Ali site.

Process:

The process is based on a conventional activated sludge Modified Ludzack-Ettinger (MLE) system with grit removal and preliminary settlement processes upstream, as well as clarification and tertiary treatment downstream with a sodium hypochlorite disinfection system. The tertiary treated water resulting from the process is partially used to clean the structures and the bulk is used for irrigation purposes downstream of the plant after pumping.

Our Solution:

Rockwell Automation Dynamix 1444 Condition Monitoring system providing online Realtime monitoring and protection for the six 870kW treated effluent pump-sets in compliance with API & ISO standard.
