Vista Automation has successfully completed the FAT and IFAT for the Containerized Control and Electrical Systems (E-House) for Far West Gas Compression Station in Oman. The project consists of two 40ft containers, the first container housing the control panels, SCADA system, and the Control Room setup. While the other container housing the LV Switchgear, LV MCC, UPS, and batteries.
The Far West Station, located in Block 9 in Northern Oman, and currently operated by Occidental Petroleum of Oman includes 9 Gas Compressor packages with total capacity to process approximately 95 MMSCFD of low-pressure gas for delivery to the gas export system. Due to ongoing development and expansion programs, the gas rates at the Far West station are expected to reach approximately 175 MMSCFD by year 2026, and gradually drop back down. Hence, Occidental Petroleum of Oman intends to install Far West Station Compression Facility and associated equipment to meet the production forecast.
Vista Automation’s scope of work for this project includes the design, assembly, manufacturing, testing, and programming of the Redundant PLC System, SCADA System, Control Room Setup, ` 1LV Switchgear, LV MCC Panel, Redundant 20KVA UPS with Lead Acid Batteries (30 minutes backup), and the two containerized buildings housing these equipment.
